I have never been abroad for Christmas before. Never abandoned the family and went away on a romantic get away instead. But this year Mike and I thought to ourselves, why not? Since it is lovely and easy we chose to go back to Spain, to my sister in laws house in Torrevieja.





We couldn't go for long as Mike has to work on the 30th and 31st (I was supposed to work too before I was signed off sick), but a few days are better than nothing. We are leaving early in the morning on Christmas Eve and we are returning on the 29th. With everything going on with my health issues I can't wait to get down there to soak up a bit of sun and enjoy just laying on the roof terrace and read a book. I don't think it will be warm enough to swim in the pool, but I always dare to go in the sea so the swimsuit is coming with me.


Instead of having a big traditional turkey dinner we will be having barbeques in the garden and picnics on the beach with my handsome husband.



 I'm counting hours till we go and I feel very blessed that I can afford going away.
