I Feel Good.

I haven't done this challenge for months and months, but I all of a sudden saw Leah's post and it inspired me to do one cause I do like this challenge.

I feel really good when I'm out and about walking in the lovely countryside we have here in Surrey. I don't care if I only have my hair in a pony tail and no sign of make up apart from coloured eyebrows and lashes. I think a smile can be just as nice as a face full of make up as it makes everyone automatically more attractive. I embrace my make up free face and smile instead.

Very happy and without make up! :)

Love <3

Lol, who needs make up? Stella loves me with or without <3

Stella!! <3

I love looking back on these photos as they represent some of the most happiest times of my life. When I go back to Norway and spend time with the people and animals that means the most for me. And most of all my daughter. It makes me smile just thinking about it now.

I love seing my natural smiling happy face that is captured. I know that in that moment that the photo was captured, there wasn't anything apart from joy and happiness in my mind and that makes me happy.

What do you do to make you happy?

I Feel Good!

This months I Feel Good I wanted to share something that makes me feel VERY good.

I love animals! It’s few things that can get me to jump up from my seat if I see an animal either outside or if I come into someone's house and they have an animal.

Animals always makes me smile and most animals seems to like me. I'm careful with them, I never rush over to see them, but rather move towards them slowly as I don’t want to scare them. I let them come to me

I have struggled with my anxiety/depression for so many years that I can't really remember how it is too not have the horrible feeling so often as I do. And animals have a remarkable soothing effect on me. It's the best treatment I could ever ask for.

The sad reality is that me, who loves animals so much that I can't explain it, I'm allergic to cats and dogs!!! I never knew until my dog was 14 years old. I got tested at the doctor and she said I was allergic to dogs. I got so sad and scared and thought I would have to put my dog down. But thankfully she said that since he was so old I could use anti histamines for the rest of the time he had left.

A year and a half later I had to take the hard decision to put him down after he had his third stroke:(

Since then I haven't had any animals myself. Mike and I live in a studio flat so we don't really have room for having any animals, but there is also that I have found out that I'm allergic to cats as well:( It's feels like a death penalty to me to not be able to have animals. I might see if I can get an animal I don't react on cause I don't react on all breeds.

Last week my sister in law was on a little break in Spain and Mike and I was cat sitting her cute cat Ginger. And that made me feel so good and I was in a super mood all week and my ability at work seemed to improve too. I think it had to do with Ginger. That I could cuddle him and play with him and just take care of him. Cause I find so much fulfilment in looking after animals and care for them.

Do you like animals? Do they make you happy?

I Feel Good!!

This months I Feel Good I want to post a random photo that I took on the bus today when I was on my way home from work.

This is me on the bus this afternoon and I think I look quite good despite been at work all day and not washed my hair since Sunday night. Normally Mike is driving us to work since we work together, but today Mike had to leave earlier to go to the doctor. So I took the bus. That is something I don't do very often. I'm poorly as I'm struggling with a cold so I felt rubbish and felt like I was looking like a scarecrow. So I took a selfie to see how it looked. I thought to myself that I don't think I would scare anyone cause I didn't look as bad as I felt. That I thought like that was a big victory for me and I did not feel self conscious anymore. It just means that it is all in your head. If you have a bit of a bad day, just take a closer look at yourself and don't judge yourself so hard. In so many cases we are our own worst enemies. Live and feel good about it. And if all else fails, put some bright lipstick on and put your best accessory on- your smile. That will automatically make you prepared to meet the world.

I Feel Good Challenge.

This is my first time in this challenge, so I hope I'm doing it correctly.

Vicky over at The Curved Opinion kindly let me join and since I'm late I'm saying sorry to all the other participants in this challenge.

You know sometimes when you spend ages getting ready for a night out, an event or even just a blog post, and the reflection in mirror isn't what you hoped?  This challenge is for those times when you look in the mirror, no pre planning involved, and think "I look good today".

I rarely bother getting made up for work! I love to lie in bed as long as possible, so I very often chose for easy options for work clothes wise. With my make up I but on mascara and add red lipstick and face is ready. My hair is probably my most neglected part of my appearance. I rarely bother to do anything with my hair. I have my usual styles that is The Quiff as can be seen here

Then I wear it as it is just newly washed hanging straight down like here.

Or pulled back from my face completely with an Alice Band like here.

I need things to be quick and easy in my everyday. I love it that my hair gets longer now as I can start braiding it at night before so I can have soft waves in the morning. That solves the hair for that day and it is pretty and easy.

When I was younger I would never dream of going anywhere without make up. Not even if I was to pick the post up from the mail box (in Norway we have mail boxes instead of getting it delivered through the door) I could leave the house without putting eyeshadow and mascara on. To me that is strange today as I have come so far. My insecurities are gone and I don't mind being seen barefaced. In fact I wear very little make up apart from mascara and lipstick.

Me totally without make up. I sometimes think it is refreshing to go out without make up and my skin looks so much better for not using lots of foundation and powder. I do use it for special occasions, but I can't see the need in my everyday life.

Hope this was a good start to my feel good challenge and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
