Cheap Fashion In Beautiful Surroundings.

Cheap Fashion In Beautiful Surroundings.

Ever since I moved over to England I have been so lucky to travel around a lot. My husband loves to go out and about too so the pair of us are tourists at least every other weekend or maybe more. We like to find cheap deals on hotels and off we go. It can be for one night or for two all depending on what we want to do and where we go. We travel a fair bit to watch football as well so we tend to make a whole weekend out of it like that.
That is what we have done the two last weekends. We have been to beautiful places, met lovely people and ate gorgeous food.

Last weekend was Mike and my anniversary(we have been together five years, married for almost three) weekend and it was Easter so we wanted to go away. At the same time we wanted to go and watch our football team Woking that was playing in Nailsworth so I suggested to spend the weekend in Cotswolds. I had never been and neither had Mike. We had such a lovely time and the weather was so beautiful.

I was wearing my lovely new dress from George atAsda. It'scalled Acid Wash Lace dress. I found it on their website for a bargain price of £12 and I can't fault it. It's so lovely. Made from a soft material, almost a bit brushed material. Nice and stretchy over my boobies so they have enough room to be comfy. I love the lacey details to the dress around the neckline and down the side of it. It makes a rock style dress more girly in an instant.. Exactly how I like it. I paired the dress with a blue and white stripy cardigan and leggings. Not warm enough to go with bare legs yet.

Dress from George at Asda (HERE)
Cardigan (old from a Facebook group)
Belt from Asos (HERE)
Handbag from a street market in Naples
Bracelets from Evans (old)
Leggings from Sainsburys(HERE)
Shoes from F&F at Tesco (old)

These photos are taken in beautiful Bourton-On-The-Water and is a stunning little village in Cotswolds. I was there on Good Friday and it was very busy. The weather was lovely as well so I guess that was a contributing factor to all the tourists. If you ever go to Cotswolds, don't miss it as it is a very beautiful place.

I love taking photos in such beautiful surroundings especially since I write a little bit about travelling on my blog as well.

Do you shop from food chains like Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys?

Every Little Girls Favourite Colour

Every Little Girls Favourite Colour

On Thursday I bought a lovely bright pink cropped jumper at Tesco. I have a huge Tesco not far from me that has got a very big clothing section and they had a big sale on, so I had to have a look. And I found quite a few bits that came home with me and among them was this beauty. I love the colour!! It is so stunning. My favourite pink. The jumper is stretchy as I bought it in a size 18 and it still works. I love the fit! It's very delicate so I will have to be careful not to snag it. I have to wear a camisole under as it is too openly knit to wear without anything under. At least I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it without anything.
I posted a photo of myself by my desk and posted to Twitter and tagged F&F and they asked me how I styled the jumper and here is how.

I wore my lovely fake leather skater skirt from AxParis and my leggings from The Cut collection from Evans. Since the print on the leggings has pink in it I thought it would work with the jumper. I also wore metallic blue shoes from Evans that picks up the blue in my leggings and I think it works! Necklace from Primark and bangle from Evans.

I have never tried anything cropped since I was 14 and I never thought it would work on my huge bosom, but I think the cropped jumper works better than long jumpers.

What do you think? Does it work?

When Guilt Hits Me

When Guilt Hits Me

The Storm Is Coming

Days goes by and soon we are entering May. It feels like yesterday it was New Year. I think that the older you get the faster time goes cause I remember as a child how slowly time went.

The last few weeks since coming back from holiday it feels like I have been in this bubble where I only have been working, eating and sleeping. I feel so bad about not being able to blog and it feels like I let my readers down by not writing everyday. Work is so demanding right now as we are understaffed. We are a very small team so when there is one person missing it affects the rest of us so much with the extra work we have to take on. When one person is off sick for two weeks and one on holiday for a week, then it's not hard to imagine that the few of us left are under a very high pressure to be able to deal with it all. I work as a renewals underwriter in motor trade and we are three underwriters in my department. But with people away we have to step in and do a lot of other things to.

Since I have been struggling with my tinnitus/Meniers disease/ fainting problems my concentration isn't as good as it once was so I'm having to use so much more energy on my job than I used to. I'm getting better and better of my fainting and fatigue, but the last week and a half I have been struggling with my Meniers so I have been very poorly without taking time off work. I went to the doctor yesterday and got some medicine that will help reducing my Vertigo and feeling nauseous. So hopefully I should feel better in a few days.
I'm away for the weekend, but I have my computer with me so I write while travelling. Right now I'm in the car on the way to Tamworth to watch Woking play. So I try to use every moment I can to write on a post.
I hope you all can just give me a few more weeks and I will be back to more regular writing. We get a new person starting in end of May so that will make things easier for me as a person and as a blogger.

Thanks for reading.

Black Elegance

Black Elegance

I have never been used to wearing only black. I have always liked a bit of colour as I think black can very easily make you appear pale and washed out. I have quite a lot of black clothes, but I always wear other colours with it.

A few weeks back I was invited to an event in London hosted by Bloggers Love and the dress code was All Black City Chic so I decided to go for a more preppy look than I normally do. My thoughts were since I'm taking it out of my comfort zone with being all black I will try something a bit different with my style as well.

This is what I wore.

I wore a black dress from Ax Curve (old) with sweetheart neckline and laces, black tights, black shoes, a very stylish belt from Asos, buy it HERE and a gorgeous blazer from Taking Shape. I only have got two blazers in my wardrobe, but they don't get used often. I bought this black one for this event as I thought it would be a good staple in my wardrobe for any occasion. When I received it I was very curious how it would look and I was so pleasantly surprised. It looked so lovely on me. It nipped me in where it should if I had it buttoned up and it looked just as nice open. I love the faux leather details on the shoulder and around the pockets. It makes it stand out from a normal black blazer. You can buy it HERE for only £19!!

I got lots of compliments for my outfit which always is nice to get.

Part 2 of this post will come tomorrow with lots of fun photos from the event itself.

Packing Away Winter?

Packing Away Winter?

Over the weekend I have been thinking that it is time to pack away thick coats, thick cardigans, boots, gloves and winter scarf. I mean it has been weeks since I brought summer clothing down from the attic. Not just because I went on holiday, but because it has been some really nice spring days. But over the weekend it was very varied weather and a couple of times I felt so cold that I had to put a coat on and my thick cardigans were my rescue at a cold football match. And I do remember my mums everyday advice growing up "put a warmer jacket on, the spring air is so deceiving". And I don't want to be sick so I try to be mindful of this.

So the other day when I went for a walk in the park I was wearing a coat I had forgotten I had. It's at least three if not four years old, but I bought it from Yours Clothing and it is lovely. It has embroidery all over and feels really luxurious. It's black so it goes with everything. I chose to team it with a white dress I got from a clothes swap I had with Leah earlier this year.

I had not worn this coat for at least two winters so it was a nice find. I'm almost sorry it is getting warmer so I can't wear it more in the time to come, but winter will be upon us soon enough so I will pack it away for now.

The dress I'm wearing is from F&F and is made of a quite thick fabric. It makes it so great for the cooler days of the spring so it is a good addition to my spring wardrobe.
The belt I'm wearing is one I bought in a charity shop last year. It's made of several rows of pearls on elastic with a quirky wood buckle. It's not the most secure belt I own, but it adds a bit of personal style to a plain dress.

Wearing ankle boots from Ebay that cost me £10!! They are lovely and soft and the colour is lovely. Ebay is my go to place for bargains.

My tights are from Tesco and are grey. I like Tesco tights as they are quite roomy. I wear a size 22 in bottoms and Tesco tights in XL are a great fit. I wouldn't say they are as good as Big Bloomers Tights, but a very cheap and good alternativ.

I will definitely start to pack away my coats, boots and hats/scarves/gloves, but I will keep my ticker cardigans for now. I do need the little extra warmth they give me. I just hope the summer will soon be here so I can go camping and wear my lovely summer dresses.

Have you packed the winter clothes away yet?

The Day My Life Changed.

The Day My Life Changed.

5 years ago today was a day that changed my life. I woke up early that morning full of excitement and anticipation, but also nerves and what ifs. I was going to meet Mike! Everyone who knows us they always say that we are so lovey dovey and that we are always so loved up so I'm not going to bore you all with the story again, unless someone want to hear it???  Instead I will share some photos with you.

Here is the last five years in photos.

It has been fun to look through so many photos and they bring back lots of memories. Mostly good, but some bad too, but Mike has always been there for me. I can say without doubt I'm the happiest I have ever been and that is mostly thanks to you Mike!!! I LOVE YOU!

Liz McClarnon Swimwear Range-Part 3 My Favourite Item

Liz McClarnon Swimwear Range-Part 3 My Favourite Item

Another day with swimwear from me. And again it is from the lovely Liz McClarnon range from Fashion World*. I swear that after today it will be a while before I pose half naked again. So for those of you that does enjoy it, enjoy it while you can, for the rest of you from tomorrow I'm wearing clothes again so no more sore eyes!! :)

I have saved the best for last.. I took the photos for this one first, but I loved it so much that I wanted to save them to the last day of swimwear reviews. The Swimsuit!!

+

It's amazing!  I have never had a better swimsuit. It's perfect. The fit is perfect. I chose size 22 which is really great fit for me. It has a bust shelf which helps with the support. Even for me with my massive heavy boobies it gives a good support. It has fixed foam cups which gives the bust an extra lift. The swimsuit is like the swimdress is not difficult to put on, but still gives a nice support of your flabby bits.

The straps are removable which is great if you want to get a nice tan without the ugly tan lines. It is a bandaeu style swimdress so it has elastic to make it stay on without the straps. I took mine off to see how the swimsuit stayed on in the pool and it was no problem at all. Everything was secure and no embarrassing happened.  The straps are my only negative point about this swimsuit as I would have preferred them to be broader as they just twist and I'm scared they will rip. But it is not a major problem. I felt so beautiful in this swimsuit. The colour is stunning and the cherry print is bright and bold. The red on the blue makes this such an attractive swimsuit and I know that this is Liz McClarnon's favourite too. I can't wait to wear it more. It's almost so I'm tempted to wear this as a top as I love the print. I need to start looking for a blue dress with cherry print as I have fallen in love with this print.

All in all I'm very pleased with the swimwear. The support in the the bikini top and top of swimdress could have been better for us bigger boobed girls. Also for some the halterneck might be something that they don't like. But apart from this I have no complaints. This is luxurious swimwear for affordable prices. They are also true to size. If you haven't bought any of this swimwear yet, I would highly recommend it. If you have big heavy boobs like myself I would go for the swimsuit which is a great staple in your swimwear wardrobe.

I did not review the kaftan from the collection as there was something wrong with the sizing. The sizing issue is sorted out now so go and get yourself one of the lovely kaftans from this range.

Before I end this post I have to show you the beautiful kaftan I got sent as a replacement. I don't know if Fashion World had read it on my blog that I love the combination of mint green and pink, but the kaftan they sent me was beautiful. Just take a look here!!!

Mint green, white and pink!! When I opened it I was in love. I hadn't seen this on their website so it was a proper surprise. It was like I was taken back to I was 10 and all I dreamed of was having a mint green and pink room... When I tried it on in Spain I swooned around all dreamy and with a very girlish look on my face. You can buy this kaftan HERE.

Which one of the styles did you like the best? And what print?

Liz Mcclarnon Swimwear Range-part two.

Liz Mcclarnon Swimwear Range-part two.

I hope I haven't scared all of you of with my post yesterday where I posed in a bikini.  That was a big challenge for me, but I never doubted doing it.

Today I am wearing the swimdress from the Liz McClarnon range  from Fashion World* and I chose the one with daisies.  I wasn't too keen on the daisy print on the website, but when I saw the print in real life at the launch I fell in love cause it looks so much nicer.  The daisy print is vibrant and bang on trend.  This print has the same vintage feel as the flamingo print so you will guaranteed feel in style.

I got this dress in size 22 and it is a good fit for me. Swimwear can be very tight to put on, but I don't find that at all with this. Even so I find that it gives a bit of hold in effect. I love the material which again is so flattering and feel really luxurious.  The skirt is not too fitted, but floaty and flattering if you want to hide your tummy. It has a built in swim pant in it and this is the same colour as the skirt.

I like most things about this swimdress, but the boob area could have been bigger. Like the bikini the material is stretchy and the foam cups are removable so it does give  you a little bit extra if you chose to remove them. The support is not the best, but again better than I thought before I tried it on since this swimdress is completely open in the back. As with the two piece this has a halterneck and again I didn't find it too heavy on my neck. For me this is a better option than the bikini as I think it looks nicer on me and I love the skirt! My husband liked this one the best of the three different styles I wore.

I would recommend to buy this one in your normal size.

Tomorrow I will be writing about the swimsuit so please come back to see my favourite item of the collection.
