Wardrobe Of Wonders From Zizzi Makes My Day Brighter

I think my outfit today is a good follow up to my last post which was about breaking fashion rules and among those rules how plus size women shouldn't wear bright colours. This rule is just ridiculous! Why shouldn't we be able to have fun and dress in bright and eye catching colours?

I love colours and I love playing with them. And the last year I have had a special favourite colour, yellow! When I was a little girl in Norway I always loved yellow and you wouldn't find a drawing of mine without any yellow in. A drawing for me always had to have red, yellow, green and blue to be complete! So yellow has always been an important colour to me.

When I saw this tunic from Zizzi online, I knew I had to have it as it would be such a go to item in my spring wardrobe. My friend Monica works for Zizzi in Norway so she bought it for me and sent it me, which was so nice cause I haven't seen this for sale in the UK and was the item from Zizzi's WOW collection. I have had it for a while, but I haven't posted this so it was about time.

It's a beautiful tunic isn't it? I have worn this so much since I got it. With leather leggings, with denim jacket and even as a top inside a skirt so it is a very versatile item. It's made in a medium thick fabric so it will be too warm in the summer, but as a spring item it is perfect! I'm wearing size XXL which is perfect size on me.

Dress from Zizzi (Can't find it online in UK)
Leggings from Sainsburys
Shoes from Evans (HERE)
Ring from Zizzi (couldn't find online either)
Necklace from street market in Spain

I chose to wear it very minimalistic to let the top tell the story which I think it deserves as it is gorgeous with cute details like the zips at the front.

Do you like yellow? Have you tried it or does it scare you as it is so bright?

Unlimited Possibilities With These.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw that Wallis had brought out their own plus size collection called Live Unlimited. I have shopped occasionally at Wallis before, mostly cardigans as I think they have some good staple cardigans.

The Live Unlimited collection consist of over 40 items, some better than others. There are some true gems in this collection and right now it is sale on so you can grab yourself a bargain. There are some really nice and figure flattering pieces. I will show you my favourites towards the end of this post.

When I was asked by Wallis if I wanted to pick an item from their collection, my choice fell on these amazing Black Animal Detail Trousers*. You can't go wrong with black so I thought these would be very versatile and I was right.

I love animal print and I really love clothes with different textures so these fitted the bill perfectly. I got them in a size 22 which was a good fit for me. They are nicely crafted in heavy jersey with PU snake print panels at the side and the waist. They have nice zip details which adds edge to them. I've worn these trousers several times since I got them and they are not great only for parties, but also for work.

They are lovely on and I love it that they are high waist so I can pull them right up above my tummy. They fit so well and are really flattering. I have a new found love for trousers and not to sound full of myself, but my legs look rather good don't they?

I wore this to a party I went to last weekend and I felt so nice in them. I styled the trousers with my trusted lace blazer from Zizzi that I bought in Norway last year and a cowl neck top from F&F that I've had for a while.

I was very happy with my choice of trousers from the collection and it's really good qaulity. They are on sale now for a bargain price of £22.50 so if you want some nice trousers for the upcoming festive season check them out as I can highly recommend them.

Here are my favourites from the collection apart from my trousers.

Berry Lace Dress

Black Lace Biker Jacket

Paisley Textured Trousers

Blazer from Zizzi (Old)
Jumper from F&F (Old)
Trousers from Wallis* (HERE)
Shoes from Marisota* (Old)

All these items are half price now, so go grab yourself a bargain.

Keep up the good work Wallis. It makes me very happy when I hear about more and more brands launching a plus size collection as well. All we need to get every brand to do now is to make all clothes in all sizes. That would be a dream.

Have you seen the new plus size collection from Wallis? What do you think?

Bank holiday weekend

Another week at work is over and this week has been extra hard. Not just work, but I'm struggling with my Meniers decease so I've been very dizzy and nauseous. I've gone to work every day so it feels like I need this weekend of more than ever before. And this weekend is a long one since it's bank holiday weekend here in England. We don't have bank holidays on Norway so when I first moved over I did not know what they were. In Norway we have public holidays too, but they are mainly Christian holidays.

Normally Mike and I would go somewhere since it is a long weekend, but due to my dizzyness we have decided to just go for day trips locally instead.

Saturday and Monday we are going to football matches. Both of us love football so we are going to go and watch Woking play. Very often we go away to watch Woking play away and make a whole weekend away out of it. It's a great way to see more of England and to watch good football. Can't complain about that! :)

Sunday we are taking my mother in law to the New Forest. I love the New Forest! It's such a unique place and I find it very soothing for my nerves to be there. It's such lovely surroundings and a huge bonus is to see the animals roam around free.

Today I have been wearing this lovely soft cotton dress from Scandinavian plus size shops Zizzi. I bought this dress back in May when I was on holiday in Norway. It was a bargain at only £20! This dress is perfect for summer as it is light and has this stunning green colour. I love colours and more and more of my clothes comes in bright colours and vibrant patterns. I have teamed it up with a plain white cardigan, black ballerina shoes and black accessoires which makes it a casual look at work for a dress down Friday.
