Mid Week Concerto

I'm in a hurry so just a little post from me right now. I will be writing more when I get back tonight, but in half an hour I am going to G Live here in Guildford and watch my hubbys favourite band The Stranglers. I like them too so I'm very much looking forward to it.It's their 40th anniversary tour and my hubby think it will be the last tour they are on. I have seen them once before, but tonight we are going to stand in front of the scene so that will be good. Last time was a bit boring as we were sitting there like two oldies in our 80s.

The Stranglers has been around since 1974 when they were known as The Guildford Stranglers so will be fun to see them here in Guildford where it all started.

Tonight I will be wearing my go to skirt when I go to concerts, from Ax Paris. I love this skirt and you have seen it on the blog several times. It is so versatile and I wear it all the time. Tonight I'm wearing it with a bit of sparkle as I'm wearing it with a sequin top from Dorothy Perkins. Can't go without wearing my lovely animal print boots from Simply Be. I can't wait for the concert to start and I'm sure I will post photos from it later tonight.

Do you like music? What kind of music do you like?

Invasion of the Killer Curves at a rock gig.

Last weekend I went to nothing less than three concerts in three days to see the same band. It was so much fun and I wore three different outfits. Sorry for not having photos of all of them. I find great fun in dressing up for concerts and I don't like dressing like I normally do. I go a bit more rock girl look to concerts as I am a rock girl at heart. :)

For the concert on Sunday I chose to wear my lovely new limited edition Invasion of the Killer Curves t-shirt that Betty from Pamper and Curves had kindly brought down to Plus London 3. It is such a lovely t-shirt and I absolutely love the artwork.. so sexy and I felt like a true ambassador for the killer curve invasion;) It's Betty's husband that has designed the artwork and I can't express how much I love it. The t-shirt comes in a normal round neck style and a slashed neck version which is what I wore. I wore an XXL which fitted perfectly over my boobs and looked great all over. My husband loves this t-shirt so much that he will get one for himself on payday! You can get your own t-shirt HERE. It's £13 so a really good price for looking sexy and getting a very important message out there at the same time!!

And here is how it looked like.

I wore the t-shirt with my lovely faux leather skirt from AX Paris, Cardi from Primark, tights from Big Bloomers Company and boots from Dorothy Perkins.

I love going to gigs and I try to dress a bit differently than what I normally wear in everyday life. I'm a rock girl who likes alternative rock, punk, indie and I'm a big fan of New Wave music... Me and my husband has got the same taste in music so we really enjoy going to small crowded venues to see good bands. We prefer little intimate venues to big arenas or stadium concerts. It is more personal that way I think. A few weeks back I went to a gig with one of my favourite bands, The Damned. We headed up to Reading to see them at Sub 89. Been there before so I know it is a good place to see bands. I wanted to dress in something different than just black as I normally do when going to concerts.

The choice fell on this lovely Lovedrobe dress in red and black animal print. It ticks all the boxes, it is light and airy, it is edgy, its flattering and I love red and animal print so can't go wrong with that. :)
I put on some lace leggings I bought at Primark for £1 and my trusted blue handbag bought on holiday. Felt very nice and right for the occasion. Had a great time at the concert and the band did not disappoint.
