Mid Week Concerto

I'm in a hurry so just a little post from me right now. I will be writing more when I get back tonight, but in half an hour I am going to G Live here in Guildford and watch my hubbys favourite band The Stranglers. I like them too so I'm very much looking forward to it.It's their 40th anniversary tour and my hubby think it will be the last tour they are on. I have seen them once before, but tonight we are going to stand in front of the scene so that will be good. Last time was a bit boring as we were sitting there like two oldies in our 80s.

The Stranglers has been around since 1974 when they were known as The Guildford Stranglers so will be fun to see them here in Guildford where it all started.

Tonight I will be wearing my go to skirt when I go to concerts, from Ax Paris. I love this skirt and you have seen it on the blog several times. It is so versatile and I wear it all the time. Tonight I'm wearing it with a bit of sparkle as I'm wearing it with a sequin top from Dorothy Perkins. Can't go without wearing my lovely animal print boots from Simply Be. I can't wait for the concert to start and I'm sure I will post photos from it later tonight.

Do you like music? What kind of music do you like?

OOTD for Christmas Market.

I have already posted a few photos from Saturday's event in London, but I felt so nicely dressed that I wanted to share more in detail photos of what I wore. I was wearing my staple style of a cute dress and a nice cardigan. This is a look I feel very comfortable in and always come back to. It has become me!

Navy blue dress from New Look (similar here)
Cardigan with sparkly stones from Primark
Tights from Big Bloomers Company
Boots from Dorothy Perkins (similar here)
Belt from Primark
Neclace from lovely Charlotte at Black Heart Creatives

Invasion of the Killer Curves at a rock gig.

Last weekend I went to nothing less than three concerts in three days to see the same band. It was so much fun and I wore three different outfits. Sorry for not having photos of all of them. I find great fun in dressing up for concerts and I don't like dressing like I normally do. I go a bit more rock girl look to concerts as I am a rock girl at heart. :)

For the concert on Sunday I chose to wear my lovely new limited edition Invasion of the Killer Curves t-shirt that Betty from Pamper and Curves had kindly brought down to Plus London 3. It is such a lovely t-shirt and I absolutely love the artwork.. so sexy and I felt like a true ambassador for the killer curve invasion;) It's Betty's husband that has designed the artwork and I can't express how much I love it. The t-shirt comes in a normal round neck style and a slashed neck version which is what I wore. I wore an XXL which fitted perfectly over my boobs and looked great all over. My husband loves this t-shirt so much that he will get one for himself on payday! You can get your own t-shirt HERE. It's £13 so a really good price for looking sexy and getting a very important message out there at the same time!!

And here is how it looked like.

I wore the t-shirt with my lovely faux leather skirt from AX Paris, Cardi from Primark, tights from Big Bloomers Company and boots from Dorothy Perkins.

First week of 30x30

I had a bit of a delayed start to the challenge, and on Wednesday I couldn't use any of these clothes as we had special guests in the office so had to wear really boring office wear. Therefore I haven't done more than 4 outfits this week, but will make up for next week. :)

I have never done anything like this before, so it has been great fun to mix and match from 30 things to see what kind of outfits I could make and perhaps start looking at new things when I put together an outfit.

Under you can see what I have done last week.

Thursday

This is a really typical me in the office outfit. I wore item 14, 21and 27 We can dress in semi smart clothes most of the days, but every now and then we have to dress in office dresses, trousers or similar. I'm glad I can be myself most of the time and play a bit more with clothes even if I go to the office. I think this outfit works perfectly for office.

Friday

Friday is dress down day at work so since I'm doing Movember I wore my Movember t-shirt(item 12), the black cardi I did not have a photo of (item30) and my lovely leggings from Forever 21(item 5). I also my new lovely fake fur gilet from F&F at Tesco. I absolutely love it and it is so warm and cosy as well. I wore it not less than three times over the weekend.

Saturday

I wore my lovely furry gilet again and this time with the black cardi (item30), item 25 a black cami from Primark and my lovely skirt from Dorothy Perkins (item 26). Wore them with some really nice and comfy ankle boots from Dorothy Perkins that I got on sale last year. My statement necklace is from Primark. Isn't it nice?

Sunday

It has been a very casual Sunday. Haven't done much,  but we went out for a family dinner and I wore this. Item 22 and 29. The cardi with a zip is from Tesco and the dress is from Primark. I wore it with animal print shoes from Barrats, an Alice band from H&M that I bought in Amsterdam for 1 euro. I also wore my lovely earrings from Norwegian Jewelry chain Bjørklund . My husband bought them for me when we were in Norway in May and I love them.

So this is what I have worn this week.

Go the other girls and take a look what they have worn this week.

30x30 Challenge

Wow, what a weekend it was. I was so busy and travelled across big parts of South East England to see one of my favourite bands The Young Knives. This is a plus size blog so I will move on to writing about fashion instead of rambling on about music.

I was reading on Twitter that lovely Steph from Seeing Spots wanted to do 30x30 challenge so I asked her what it was and she explained the challenge to me. It is as simple as chose 30 items and make 30 outfits. This is not including outer wear, shoes and accessories. She had seen this idea originally on DYI Fatshions blog that you can read HERE. I had never heard of it before, but by Steph explaining it to me I thought it would be a good way of making me mix things I have in my wardrobe. Cause who of us hasn't said that we don't have anything to wear even with the wardrobes overflowing. So I look at this as a way of making myself thinking differently and outside the box.

The 30 things I have chosen are:
1 Peplum Top from Dorothy Perkins 2 Knitted Jumper from H&M

3 |Studded Cardigan from Primark 4 Cardigan from Ebay

5 Leggings from Forever21 6 Leggings from New Look 7 Leggings from Asos Curve

8 Skinny Jeans from New Look 9 Jumper from New Look

10 |Faux Leather skirt from Axe Paris 11 Polka dot Blouse from Simply Be

12 T-shirt from streetmarket in Spain 13 Dress from FF at Tesco

14 Cardigan from M&S 15 Cardigan from Bon Prix

16 Knitted cardigan from Lindex 17 Cami from H&M

18 Dress from FF at Tesco 19 Skater Dress from Sorrento

20 Overbust Leather Corset from Ebay 21 Cami from Asos Curve
22 Dress from Primark 23 Jumper from Dorothy Perkins

24 Top with PU from New Look 25 Cami from Primark

26 Skirt from |Dorothy Perkins 27 Skirt from New Look
28 Skirt from Primark 29 Cardi/Hoodie from FF at Tesco

I have another item to chose which will be a simple black cardi, just have to find it first as I couldn't find it right now.

Will be so fun to see what I can do with these items. I will post a post in the weekend to see what I have worn over the week, but also some solo posts in between.  And who knows, I might do the same as Steph and make a spreadsheet to see how many times I wore each item.

Go and take a look what the other girls have chosen and please pop by later to see what we all manage to make of the 30 items we have chosen.

Do you think you are good at using things that you already has got in the wardrobe in stead of always buying new stuff?
