I did not think I would like these surprise boxes as much as I do. At the start of every month I log on to the You Beauty Discovery website and chose my two items from a list of ten items.



This month I chose these exciting products.
First it is the brush on false lashes from Magnifibers.

According to the packing it will lengthen your lashes by 5mm. I have been trying the product and it worked amazingly well. I had got no expectations to it as I have tried similar products before, but hated them as the fibers have always fallen in my eyes and irritated it. But this one made my eyelashes markedly longer (my eyelashes are quite short and very blonde) and my husband noticed. It did not feel any different than just having mascara on and the fibres stayed on my eyelashes and not in my eyes. So I was very happy with this product.



The second product I chose was the matte velvity lipstick Matt Long Lasting from Lola. Lola is a range you find exclusively at M&S. I was sent the colour Vamp


which is a very deep purple colour. I was very happy when I got this colour as I need to venture outside my comfort zone of red lipsticks as well. I have worn it on a few times now and I have to say I'm impressed. It is fragrance, paraben and alcohol free which means that it is suitable for most people, even with sensitive skin. Normally I find velvety matte lipsticks very dry after a while, but this one is a lot better. It does get a bit dry after a while, but since it is a matte lipstick I don't mind. There is a few other matte lipsticks I have tried that I don't get on with at all due to their extreme dryness. The colour stay for a long long time. I had it on when I went shopping. I also had a light snack and a drink and I did not need to top it up so that was an extra bonus.

In my surprise box there were also samples from Jimmy Choo Flash perfume


and Green & Black's organic Chocolate with raisin & hazelnut.



I have not tried the chocolate yet, but I have tried the perfume. It has a floral scent and I don't like it as it is far too heavy for me. I have a very specific taste in perfume and I like perfumes best light and fresh.

I love my little surprise boxes, they are like treats in an everyday life.
