I'm sure that most of you have heard about Lady V London and their great ranges of plus size dresses and skirts, Lady Voluptuous. I have been a fan of the brand ever since last year when I bought my first dress from them the Estella. You can read a review of that dress HERE. It's probably my favourite outfit ever and I have never got so many compliments for something I've worn as that dress.

I have three other dresses from Lady V London in my collection, but my newest buy is this amazing skirt. The Pink Lips skirt is stunning. I've worn it twice so far. One time when I was on holiday in Mexico, but stupidly didn't remember to take any photos and this time when I wore it to work.








Isn't it a stunning skirt? I'm in love with it. I love the pattern and the colours. I know I will get so much use of this skirt in the time to come and wearing it instantly makes my mood better as it is such a fun print. It's full and has got a great weight to it so it's really flattering. I'm not wearing a petticoat in these photos since I had been to work, but if I wore it to a more festive occasion I would definitely show the fullness with a petticoat.


 This skirt oozes party, but I chose to team it with a simple pink t-shirt and a cropped denim jacket for a more casual style cause this skirt deserves to be used in more everyday situations too. You will definitely get attention in this skirt, so prepare yourself to not be a wallflower in this. It automatically becomes a talking point.


I'm wearing size 22/24 here and that is a great fit for me. Perfect. It's made of a lovely cotton fabric, feels the same as the dresses I have so it's great quality. The skirt has pockets as well which makes it even more perfect in my book as I love pockets on my skirts and dresses. As you can see the length of the skirt reaches me to my knees and for reference, I'm 5'6.

It's winter, but it is not very cold, so I'm living in my thick cardigans. I adore thick cardigans. They are so versatile as I can wear them without a coat when not so cold or layer up with a coat when it's colder. Therefore I'm always on the look for great looking and practical cardigans.


This one, the Piia Cardigan* is from Taking Shape and I've fallen in love. It's stylish, warm, has a hood and gorgeous colours in lovely grey tones. I always thought that grey was a bit of a dull colour, but I have to admit that this season it is one of my go to colours. It goes so well with most colours and makes it easier to wear statement pieces.



 This cardigan is nicely crafted in a soft acrylic, polyester and wool knit. It's very soft and lightweight. I love the double buckle and self tab closure. It's not something I see that often on items so it adds a bit of uniqueness to the cardigan. The length is so nice as I can wear it with leggings and a short dress as I've done in this post, but just as well wear under a coat as a layering piece when colder. As always I'm so happy that the cardigan has pockets. I love everything with pockets. It just makes it more practical and most of all warm in case you left your gloves behind.



It also has a very practical hoodie. It's versatility makes it a go to choice no matter what weather this winter has in store for us. It will keep you warm and if you need extra layering, then why don't you check my blog tomorrow as I have a perfect coat coming up for you.

The calendar shows November and for many people this means sadness and depression due to the darker times with shorter days and not much sign of the lovely light summer nights.

I love this time of year and I find it quite interesting how "everyone" dress in more muted and dull colours. When I watch football matches or observe people on the street, the majority goes for dark hues. Wouldn't you think that it was more logic that we looked for brighter colours to lighten up a darker day? I do! I don't think I've mentioned it before how much I like colours, have I? :) Of course I have!!! I love them!

When I saw the Look Grid Design Mesh Dress on Simply Be's website I knew I had to have it as it was so beautiful and the blue colour was so stunning. The grid pattern was also speaking to me.

When I first got it and wore it I loved it. I felt like a princess in this dress as it has such a lovely movement to the skirt. It has got a mesh petticoat under for fullness so you really get the feeling of a vintage dress. I also felt really good about the long sleeves.

I so much wanted to love this dress so I tried it on with a belt a few days later, sorry I forgot to photograph it, but it looked so silly as the cut of the bodice still looks like a line that goes over my boobs since there is not much stretch to the fabric. This dress is a size 26, so not even sizing up helped me.

I do like it, but just not on me.

Petticoat

Love the colour and the pattern.

The blue is so right on me I think.

I'm so gutted, but I will have to sell this dress so it can go to someone who can wear it and appreciate it more than I do. It would just be hanging in the wardrobe if I kept it and for such a stunning dress it would be a shame. So if some of you want to buy it, please let me know. Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. Albert Camus said this about autumn and it is one of my favourite quotes. For many people autumn is a time with depression and sadness since the days get shorter and the summer with all it's magic is just a distant memory. For me it's different. I love autumn, I love the crisp cold air, I love romantic walks along the river in the low autumn sun and the colours, the colours are like an explotion. It's like the year has been saving everything for a big final colour explosion.

I look back on my fashion sense when I was younger and I have to admit that I swore a lot to black in the autumn and in the winter. It wasn't until I was well over 30 I started being more daring to use colours when "everyone" else toned down their colour palette in what they were wearing. I do think that most people have become better at embracing the colours instead of looking like a scene from an old movie about communist Russia.

I was recently contacted by New Look who asked me if I wanted to review something from their autumn collection. I love New Look and love their Inspire range. I'm a faithful customer who buy something from them every time I get paid. I think they have a lot of affordable and well designed clothes that suits my style perfectly.

I chose this Inspire Green Floral Print Skater Dress*. I adore the big florals on this dress. They are bold and bright and the navy background makes them stand out. Whoever said that blue and green should never be seen should hang his/her head in shame as I love the combination of blue and green. Also brighter contrasts than in this dress.

I have lots of different maxi dresses in my wardrobe and I don't want to pack them away even it is getting colder outside. So far we have been really lucky with the temperatures so far in the autumn as it's been as warm as a summers day. That mean that I can just use my maxi's as I normally would do.











This lovely maxi dress I had been lusting over ever since I saw in the SS14 viewings from Marisota. I love the colours. The block colours in the skirt especially. I have used this dress just once as for me it was too short as I like my maxis to be floor length. And that a maxi dress is too short for me is hard to find cause at 5'6 it's rather the opposite! But that made me think that since winter is coming I could wear it with army boots and wool socks and a warm jacket. That way it doesn't matter if it is a bit short. Cause the colours of the dress would go in the winter as well. I even like wearing pastels in the winter, so I'm really just talking non sense here :)


 




In these photos I've teamed the dress with a lovely blazer from The Curve since it is still not that cold. In winter I would wear it with a jacket or a parka to make the outfit more casual.
