Working in an office here in England can mean that it is quite a strict dress code. Coming from Norway, I wasn't used to strict dress codes and office etiquette so when I got my first office job here I had to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. I actually did divide my wardrobe into two parts, one for work and one for out of work.

In my current job we have the dress code smart casual, so we are pretty much free to wear what we want as long as we don't wear anything too alternative.

One of my recent favourite outfits is this lovely Kira Animal Print Bardot dress from Pink Clove. It's sexy without being too sexy and I have toned the sexiness down by wearing it with leggings and flat shoes.Wearing my Mookie necklace from Black Heart Creatives and a blue cute flower in my hair.  I think this works for work. Especially now when it is gradually getting warmer and even if your shoulders
are on display it still keeps you modest.

I can't stand most of traditional office wear, it is so uniform like, badly designed and limiting, so when I can, I try to push it a bit further. A lot of people would say that this wasn't even appropriate for dress down Fridays, but I have never understood what difference it makes to your professionalism if you are showing some more of your personal style in the way you dress? In my opinion you show more creativity and new thinking in being allowed to showing off your personal style than being conformed into conservative norms. But hey then again that is just my opinion.






It's such a beautiful dress that I will get a lot of use for outside work too. I can't wait to wear it for a more dressed up date night. Team it with red high heels and some nice accessories and you're ready.
