The Style I Didn't Think Would Fit, But It's Perfect!

I have been in love with the pinafore/dungaree trend for a while, but I didn't think it would suit me at all. But I got so envious to see how nicely it looked on everyone, so I decided to buy one to see how it looked on me cause one thing I have learnt with this blog is to try new things.

So I went ahead and bought this great pinafore dress from Alice and You at Asos for a bargain price of £26. As soon as I received it I tried it on and it fit like a glove. I loved it.

And since then I've hardly worn anything else. It has at least been used three times a week and I even wear it to work. It's so comfy and I feel so stylish in it.

Here is the first look. This one I wore when I went down to Lewes with Leah and her husband James. It was such a lovely day and Leah kindly took these photos of me in a beautiful garden in Lewes.

I wore the skirt with my beautiful animal print jumper from George that I have worn before HERE. It's such a lovely jumper that is perfect for those days when it's not warm enough to go with bare arms, but not cold enough to wear a coat. Leggings and boots was on as well, as it was rather chilly this day.

The size of the skirt is a bit off so I had to size up to 26 which always is so annoying. I hardly buy anything without buying a back up size in case it is too small. It just seems to me like the sizes are getting smaller everywhere. It's like they are trying to trick us into thinking that we are putting on weight to make us lose it. But I know I haven't put on weight so it is rather the sizing it's something wrong with.

This is how I wore my skirt for a dinner out in London with some blogger babes. The top I'm wearing is an old one from Peacocks that I picked up in a sale. This skirt is so versatile that I can wear it with cute ditsy florals as well.

Typical me being barefeet. I love being barefeet and as soon as I can kick my shoes off I do. This is a dress down Friday outfit I wore when I first got the skirt. I'm having a stripe addiction at the moment so I was wearing it with a long sleeve t-shirt for a more nautical feel to the outfit. Also wearing my cow necklace from Black Heart Creatives which I adore.

Another dress down Friday outfit. Wearing the skirt with a very feminine lacey jumper from George which adds a bit of diversity to the look since the skirt itself is quite masculine, if I can say that in these PC times ;)

I love this skirt and love it so much that I'm thinking about ordering another one on payday. They are so versatile and easy to wear so it's well worth the investment.

Have you tried this dungaree trend yet?
