Are You Cold? Practical Or Stylish?

It certainly has got colder the last few days. Winter is here whether you like it or not. I don't mind the winter, although I'm not the biggest fan of snow. I like the crisp cold air though. As the contrast person I am, I hate being too warm, but I also hate being cold. So to brave the cold temperatures one of my must haves is a good coat.

When I went to Norway a couple of weeks ago I feared that it would be colder than it was. I visited the west coast of Norway which always is milder than inland in Norway so the temperature wasn't too dissimilar to here in UK.

I had been so fortunate to chose a coat from Yours Clothing and since I was in a beautiful part of the world I decided to do a Vlog of it and here it is.

Burgundy and Black Boucle Coat With PU Sleeves and Collar.*
This coat is on sale now for half price, so go grab yourself a bargain!!!!

As you saw I really love this coat. It's so lovely and warm. And why compromise in the winter? You can both be stylish and warm.

This coat is very well made and I love the design. The bouclé body with the contrasting faux leather quilted sleeves and collar is so stylish. The colours are beautiful and I love it that you can wear this coat both with an open collar or as a stand up collar if you prefer that.

The length is also perfect in my opinion. It's not too long and it isn't heavy. Some coats can seem really heavy, but despite being more than half wool this coat is lightweight yet warm and cosy.

I hope you enjoyed the video review and the beautiful nature in Norway. I couldn't have chosen a more picturesque place than the beautiful Atlantic Road.

Here are a few photos from the shoot too so you can see details better.

And this time I managed to button it up!! :D

Who Doesn't Love A Good Celfie?

Are you one of those who love to take selfies? Or do you get annoyed by it? Do you think that people fancy themselves too much when they keep posting photos of them self? I have to admit that I'm one of those who take far too many selfies. I mostly like taking selfies with someone else. I think they are nice reminders of that moment in time. Selfies doesn't have to be as serious as other photos might be, so they will guaranteed make you smile. At least if you take a look at some of my selfies.

Yours Clothing has got this really lovely and versatile #Celfie t-shirt* in their stores and online right now.

It's a lovely top and it only cost £10 online or in store. It's a lovely t-shirt. I love the material and the slightly dipped hem is really nice when you wear it with leggings. I love the scooped neck and the gathered shoulders makes this t-shirt stand out and it feels more feminine than regular t-shirts.

A lot of t-shirts can be snug and short on me, even in XXXL size, but this is made in a lovely soft and stretchy jersey material. It will quickly become your favourite t-shirt as it is so versatile. You can wear it with jeans, leggings, trousers, over dresses or as I do here with a cute skirt.

A simple t-shirt can easily be made more exciting with some few simple accessories.

 #celfie :)

The rest of my outfit. I like the simplicity of this outfit. Black, black and black and then a splash of colour with my lovely skirt from H&M.

#HeresWhatIWouldHaveSpent- #1- Misguided

Hello gorgeous people.

Lovely Debz initiated this challenge because she wanted to see if we could affect the way brands are thinking in regards to sizing and plus sizes. Very many shops and brands that say they have plus sizes goes up to a size 24 which isn't big enough for everyone. Myself I'm a size 20-26 depending on what brand it is and what kind of items I'm buying.

This time we have chosen Misguided. They recently launched their plus size range, which is great and a step in the right direction. Unfortunately their plus size collection only goes up to a size 24. This is in most cases ok for me personally, but I have many plus size friends who are bigger and can't wear these lovely clothes. As plus size bloggers we hope that we can try and get brands to change their thinking by making all clothes in all sizes up to and past size 32. It would be a dream if EVERYONE could go into any shop and buy whatever they want. Go shopping there with their smaller or bigger friends without anyone feeling left out. That would be a great day.

In the mean time I've been looking at my favourite items from the current Misguided collection that I can't fit into and here is what I chose and would have spent my money on if they came up higher.

I love all these. I would wear them if they came in my size.

Chere Monochrome Tux Dress

Scalloped Mesh Insert Skirt and Top

Orla Faux Fur Leather Biker Sleeve Coat Red Check

I really like these too. I have seen similar ones in plus sizes, but I would have been even happier if I didn't have to trawl around the internet to find something similar. Just because we are plus size, why do we have to compromise? We should have just the same choices as everyone else.

Which shops would you like to be able to buy plus sizes in?

I'm dreaming of a...

Sunny spring and warm summer. In a time when most people are fuzzing about Christmas I'm thinking more about next year. I can't wait to get this year over and done with. I've never been a big fan of Christmas so instead I'm looking ahead. For a new year, new possibilities, new allowance of holiday at work and new seasons.

So when Simply Be invited me to their Spring Summer 15 blogger event I was very happy. I couldn't wait.

It was held in the amazing Sanderson Hotel in London and I have to admit that this hotel is amazing. Such stunning and trendy decor and the elevator was spectacular. It was like an observatory with its 3 dimensional elevators. It was like taking the lift to another galaxy. We had to take a private lift up to the penthouse apartment where the event was. The penthouse flat was very impressive, but I have to admit I didn't notice this much until I saw the photos on my lap top after I came home. I was blended by something else. I had only eyes for the clothes. What a feast for my eyes. There were colours, there were dresses and summery outfits in colours I love. Yellow, orange, pink, mint green and so on... colours everywhere. It was like I was in colour heaven.

My second favourite of the lot. Amazing dress in a colour that I've grown to love.

Really like this darker hues as well.

This stunning maxi dress has splits up to the thigh. So sexy..

I really hope this adorable fatkini will come in my cup size as I loved it.

Beautiful details on this bomber jacket.

Love all the pastels.

As you can see there is a lot to look forward to from Simply Be next season. Aren't you getting excited about the warmer and lighter seasons? I also liked the price level of the items as sometimes the clothes from Simply Be can be quite pricey. But I hope that the price will stay as they were priced on the hanger as it was pleasant news.

Although I like the winter and I don't mind warm and cosy coats and knits, my heart skipped a beat when I saw this beauty.

My favourite dress... I'm in love.

Isn't it stunning. If you have read my blog this autumn you will know I'm so in love with yellow and this dress is stunning. It will definitely come with me on my holiday in Tenerife in February and to Mexico in May. Just wondering about the sizing as dresses these days seems to be so off in sizing, so I hope I don't have to buy three different sizes to find my perfect fit.

The event was my first out and about since I had my illness and it was so much fun. So much fun to meet up with all the lovely blogger girls. Simply Be had a fun screen that we could upload our photos to Instagram and then have them printed out. I loved this as we all took selfies and uploaded them to Instagram. Check out Simply Be's tag SimplyBeSS15 for more fun photos from the event.

The Lovely security guard at Simply Be store took this photo of me with lovely Becky, Charlotte, Isha and Lucy.

Michaela, Lisa and me.

Myself with the beautiful Danie and Nancy.

Another fun photo of us blogger girls taken by the lovely security guard.

Isn't she stunning? The lovely Emma.

As soon as Christmas sales are over I look forward to seeing the new collections in the shop. What do you want to see in the new collection?

My Spotty Legs

I was asked by Pamela Mann to try some tights, some hold ups and some stockings since I had tried the hold ups that you can read a review about here.

I wasn't too sure when I tried the first ones on as I thought they were so thin that I was scared that they would rip as soon as I started putting them on. But I was surprised. Cause they went on silky smooth and didn't rip. I actually loved them. I managed to pull the tights high up on my tummy which always is a plus for me as I love wearing my tights above my tummy. I should mention that I wore size 28-32 as I hate tights to be too small. And this was a good fit for me. I'm normally a size 22 in trousers, but I find tights that should accommodate for size 22 too small for my liking.

I wore them the whole day at work and nothing bad to say about them. They stayed up, they were easy to pull up after being at the toilet, where some tights can be so extremely difficult to pull up properly so it feels like they don't sit right, but these sat right all day long.

The design is really cute with the black spots. It adds a bit extra to an outfit. You can buy the tights HERE*. I have washed them and worn them again and they still haven't laddered so I'm very happy with these tights.

The Girl That Was Like A Nomad

Hello everyone. I'm still around. I haven't forgotten about you all and I haven't stopped blogging. I haven't fallen into a coma or anything that dramatic. It's just that sometimes in life you have to concentrate on other things and the last few weeks I've had to do that.

I've been working as usual and I'm up to doing four days a week now, so even if I don't work Monday's I still have a busy week and it's wearing me out as I loved having two days to myself.. I'm hoping to work just four days a week permanently from now to focus a bit more on myself, my health and my blog.

Mike and I have been cat sitting for his sister while she and her husband have been on holiday the last three weeks. It has been lovely to be around animals all this time, but it's often been late nights and not enough time to do my blog.

But as the nomad I am, I also have been to Norway to visit my daughter which was absolutely lovely. It was beautiful and mild for the year, I got to see all my adorable nieces and nephews. But most of all I got to see my beautiful daughter. I had to see her before Christmas so Mike and I went over for a long weekend. It was such a lovely weekend which created lovely memories of a time spent with family and friends.

I will get another post out later tonight, just wanted to let you all know I'm still here.
