Veet Easy Wax Electrical Roll On Kit Review *

A couple of weeks back I was offered to try the Veet Easy Wax Electrical Roll On Kit* and since I do normally wax my legs I said yes.

I had to wait over week or so to let my hair grow out sufficiently enough for me to start waxing. My hair growth on the legs are very fine and since I'm fair the hairs are not very visible even a couple of weeks after removing the hairs.

While I was waiting for my hair to grow out I took a look at the Veet website where they have an excellent How to remove hair guide. I have removed hair with wax at home before, but it never hurts to freshen up your knowledge and you might get a new tip or two as well.

The contents of the box are these.

It's a really easy concept. You get a container that you plug into the electric cable that comes with it. You take the wax container and put it into the container and switch on the electric to make the wax warm up. It also comes with a handy holder for the wax container while it is heating the wax up. This takes between 20-30 minutes.

It's very easy to use, you just check the wax on the inside of your arm to check if it is warm enough or too hot and if it feels right you can just go ahead. Roll the wax on with the direction of the growth, use the fabric strips that comes with the kit and after a few seconds, hold your skin taut and rip it off horizontally with your leg in one rapid movement. I had exfoliated my legs the day before to prepare for the waxing as well, just thought I would mention it.

The result of my waxing was unfortunately not the best. I had lots of hair left after doing the waxing. Some came off, but more than what came off was still left! I was gutted as I have tried home waxing with other products before and it's been working really well.

Before Waxing
After waxing
I decided to the other leg with talcum powder to see if it might help a bit as the talcum powder helps on making the skin dryer and can help on achieving a better result.

Unfortunately I couldn't see much of a difference from before or after using talcum powder, so I was disappointed. This product didn't live up to my expectations and this is actually the first time that home waxing of my legs has turned out bad. It's supposed to leave your legs hair free for up to several weeks, but what good is in promising that when the product doesn't work? For me it sadly didn't work. It's such a shame, because the concept of the product is excellent.

I'm using Veet's hair removal cream on a regular basis and for me this cream works like a dream. That is also one of the reasons why I wanted to try the wax to see if it was just as good.

A side note to this, is the cleansing vipes that comes with this kit is amazing. They removes left over wax excellently. And I only needed to use one for both my legs!! I will continue to buy these as they left my skin smooth as silk and wax free with no hard work involved . You can buy them anywhere else they sell Veet Products.

Have you ever tried home waxing? What are your experiences?
