Short but good.

I know that it is no point in regretting anything in life, but I do regret not just giving a bit more f*** when it comes to wearing whatever I want. Among these things are my new favourite summer clothing, shorts. I can't believe that I haven't worn shorts since I was a child. Why haven't I let myself be cool instead of walking around in trousers or leggings? I rediscovered shorts last summer and I bought my first shorts from Asos. It was like a revelation. I saw it in photos how good it looked and my legs are actually really toned and quite shapely so why not show them off?

This year I have bought myself two more pairs of shorts which I have worn all summer.

My favourite ones are from New Look and I wore them to Style XL on Saturday. I don't think I have any photos of me in them, but I will do a follow up post with them later. I bought them at a bargain price of £10 as well. They are sold out online, but you might be lucky to still find them in store.

Here is a photo of them from New Looks website

These shorts are so cool with its acid wash and the little detail of lace fabric at the hem of both legs. I love them as I can make them cute with a girly blouse and Mary Janes or I can make them laid back and rock chic style with a t-shirt and shoes with studs.

The second pair I've bought is from Simply Be and I love them! They are a bit longer so they are very practical if you are out and about on a city break as they protect your thighs from chafing. You could also turn them up if you want them a bit shorter for a different style. In addition they are high waisted(with buttons) which I love as it is more comfortable when they reach above my tummy. It's a lovely stretch in the material as well so they never feel tight or uncomfortable. I found them very true to size and I'm wearing a size 22. I have styled them with a cute top from Primark which makes it more girly and a bright and bold summer coloured handbag. Nude peeptoes from Primark goes well with everything. It creates an easy wearing summer outfit that are perfect for dress down Friday's at work.

Do you like to wear shorts?
