My day in Royal Windsor.

My day in Royal Windsor.

Since I moved to England I have been travelling around a fair bit with my husband. I have been to most parts of the country and there are few things I love more than English Countryside.

Over the weekend I went to visit friends in beautiful Royal Windsor. It is such a lovely town with the castle and it's lovely streets. Lots of nice places to shop as well. I didn't buy anything this time, but I treated myself to a really lovely pampering session of having my nails done, have a pedicure and having my eyebrows tinted and threaded all ready for my holiday.

After me and my friend had been pampering ourselves we met up with our partners and cute little Jacob. He is a sweetheart. He is 19 months old, but he is so grown for his age and we had a great time with them in the park playing.

On the way back from Windsor Mike and I stopped in Old Windsor and went for a walk along the river. The view was lovely and perfect as backdrop for taking some photos of outfit of the day.

I was wearing this very versatile denim dress from TU at Sainsburys. I picked it up in a sale last year and I have worn it lots with lots of different things. It can be teamed up with jumpers, leggings and boots in the winter, wear it open over leggings and a top and as I wore it with a cute top under and a cardigan over. My top is really a short bodycon dress from New Look Inspire that I bought this summer when I was in London. It was a bit too cold to go without a cardigan so I chose a plain black one and clipped a big pink flower on it. I also wore my lace leggings from Primark that I wrote about in a previous post.

Have you ever been to lovely Windsor?

Plus size website for tights!!

Plus size website for tights!!

I came across this lovely website for us bigger ladies when I was just randomly searching for bigger sizes in tights. It might be that it is a well know site for many of you, but I have never heard of them before.  As a plus size girl I always find tights an ordeal to get right cause they never seem to be big enough. I like having tights that are big enough to pull over my big fat tummy, yet doesn't lose shape because it is too big or too poorly made.

The Big Bloomers Company  have got a great range of tights in sizes from 12-42. The tights comes in different sizes, thicknesses and best of all in lots of different colours as well. They also sell knickers, hosiery, suspenders and lots of other plus size underwear and garments.
I will place my first order tomorrow,  for some nice tights that I can use in the winter. Prices are not bad either so hurry over to the website and have a look.

Holiday And A Few Tips To Playa Flamenca

Holiday And A Few Tips To Playa Flamenca

From March when I last visited Spain.

Sunbathing on the roof balcony.

Ready to go home....
This is a view of the pool with the villa in the background, top left.
I can't wait till Thursday. I'm going on holiday. This time it feels like I need a holiday more than ever as I have been struggling with my health so much lately and been working full time at the same time so I feel very drained.

Mike's sister has got a lovely villa in Torrevieja, Spain. The villa is part of a complex with lovely gardens and pools. It is a perfect place for a quiet and restful holiday. I look forward to sitting out on the sun terrace in the mornings having lazy breakfasts with fresh breads and lots of lovely fruits. Looking forward to long hours in the pool, nice barbecues on the patio and day trips to Cartagena and the little island of Trabarca.
The summer and autumn have been quite hard on me with unknown health issues so I really need this brake from work.
When first in Spain I will visit several markets that I love. My favourite market is the local one in Playa Flamenca . Every Saturday it is a market just down the street from the villa and this market is a big and very good market. They sell all kind of stuff you can imagine. Fresh fruits, berries, vegetables, nuts, clothes, shoes, belts, handbags, accessories, sunglasses, art and all kind of things you can imagine. I haven't found much plus size clothing here, but it is an eldorado for accessories so I always manage to find some cool bargains.  It's very popular and busy, a real experience to see all the haggling going on to secure a bargain. As all other busy places there are pick pockets so I always take extra care of my valuables like phone and purse.

Last year it was opened a brand new shopping centre just 5 minutes drive from where we are staying. Zenia Boulevard. It is a big shopping centre with lots of different shops and you can easily spend hours here. Plus size clothing is something I find very difficult to find in Spain, but at Zenia Boulevard you can find Primark, H&M and C&A where I can find nice things that I can fit into. There are lots of other lovely shops that I have found bargains in before so it is all about taking a look. There are also great shops for shoes and jewelry in and not to forget they have the most luxurious bathrooms I have ever seen. Amazing.

Toilets at Zenia Boulevard. So pretty!

I'm sure I will have a great time and I can't wait to share my outfit photos from Spain with you guys and also some new buys throughout the time I'm there.

OOTD- Another polka dot obsession

OOTD- Another polka dot obsession

Sunday and I have been to work! Exciting weekend huh? I'm going away on holiday on Thursday so therefore I have had to try and get some overtime done so I don't have to leave everything for my colleague. I am working as an Renewal Underwriter for Motor Trade and we are a very little office. We are two Renewal Underwriters,  so when one goes on holiday it will be very busy for the other. So have done a bit of overtime to try and sort things out.At the same time I'm struggling with my health so I'm hanging in here, just about. I really need this holiday coming up. Will hopefully work wonders with sun, beach and sea.
I had an order from Forever 21 come last week and I had ordered this really lovely polka dot peplum dress so I put that on even if it was just me and my husband in the office. I love it!!! It looks great on, it looks very edgy and sexy and the burgundy colour is great. Very stylish and is a perfect dress to take from day to night with just a quick change of accessories. I wore it with my lovely last season leather jacket from Evans(similar jacket can be found here), tights, my Primark brogues and a fold over handbag from Primark today, but I would easily wear it with a classic cardigan later and feel great in the office. The only bad point I have about this dress is that due to my big boobs the top half of it looks a bit streched and the fabric looks a bit see through in a certain light. This means that I would have to wear a cardigan over it to disguise.it a bit which is a shame since the dress is so comfortable and flattering. It comes at a cheap price do I guess you get what you pay for.

Concert outfit

Concert outfit

I love going to gigs and I try to dress a bit differently than what I normally wear in everyday life. I'm a rock girl who likes alternative rock, punk, indie and I'm a big fan of New Wave music... Me and my husband has got the same taste in music so we really enjoy going to small crowded venues to see good bands. We prefer little intimate venues to big arenas or stadium concerts. It is more personal that way I think. A few weeks back I went to a gig with one of my favourite bands, The Damned. We headed up to Reading to see them at Sub 89. Been there before so I know it is a good place to see bands. I wanted to dress in something different than just black as I normally do when going to concerts.

The choice fell on this lovely Lovedrobe dress in red and black animal print. It ticks all the boxes, it is light and airy, it is edgy, its flattering and I love red and animal print so can't go wrong with that. :)
I put on some lace leggings I bought at Primark for £1 and my trusted blue handbag bought on holiday. Felt very nice and right for the occasion. Had a great time at the concert and the band did not disappoint.

Weekend away (Picture heavy post)

Weekend away (Picture heavy post)

This weekend we went to stay with family in St Albans. I have been there several times before, but I had never been to the market they have there every Saturday. When I'm on holiday one of the things I really like to do is to venture off to local markets to hunt down treasures and bargains. The market in St. Albans was quite good and it was actually bigger than I thought. They had a variety of things from food, jewelry, clothes, books, handbags and much more. Since I'm a big fan of Australian handbag designer David Jones, I automatically had a look when I saw his name mentioned. The handbags were really nice and I wanted all of them... I had to decide on one and I chose this mustard yellow one which I thought was very cute and very me. I love handbags and I have far too many according to my husband. I think this one will be very practical and nice to take with me on holiday. I bought a couple of other bits and bobs as well. A kit to make higher hair like quiffs and bouffants.. I like that style, but think it is difficult to get a proper bouffant with my hair, so hopefully it will help with some cheating.

In St.Albans they also have a speciality shop for Vintage clothes and of course I had to go in and have a look. They had little clothes in plus sizes, but some lovely accessoires. I couldn’t really afford anything, but I found this super cute bright pink bow with polka dots that I am going to attach a hair clip and a needle on so I can use it in my hair or as a statement acessoire with a black or dark coloured outfit.

On Sunday we took the lovely Gemma out for a long walk. She is a beautiful Welsh Springer Spaniel and we are best friends. I'm a little allergic to dogs, but as long as I take antihistamins before seeing her I am ok. We took her to this beautiful place in Bedfordshire called Wrest Park. It is a stunning place with gorgeous gardens and walks. We did not go in the mansion itself since we had Gemma with us, but the gardens were so lovely. Stunning views over a lake and there is a Chinese style bridge and Temple as well.

I went shopping as well, but didn't find anything that was tempting enough for me to spend money on so I just posed for some outfit photos instead. I was wearing this lovely New Look Inspire dress that I found for a bargain price of £5 on Ebay. I always trawl around ebay for bargains and things that they don't have in my size in the shops anymore. I temed the dress up with a black cardigan, black leggings as the weekend was absolutely freezing(!) and nude coloured shoes from Primark. AND my lovely handbag that I bought on holiday in January in Naples. It was a steal at £10 pounds and I am using it with everything. It is made in a lovely blue faux leather and has gold studs and zips at the front. Perfect size for cross body bag when you want your hands free.

Spending time with my lovely family was an absolute treat too. I have such an amazing family. Since I came into their lives over 4 and a half years ago they have been absolutely amazing. Everyone has been so welcoming and nice to me.

What do you like to do in your weekends?
